For over a year, we have been talking about taking a trip with our dear friends Blake and Lil lee. After another fall without managing to travel together, Jen and Lil lee conspired to plan a quick trip to Iceland.

We landed, hit duty free for some beer and gin, and then wandered through construction and the (not well signed) diversion to the rental car shuttle. Blake gets motion sick when he is not the drive, so for the first time in a long while: I was not the chauffeur. Operating as navigator was a nice change of pace. The Hyundai we were driving was a very modern hybrid-electric vehicle, with all sorts of warning beeps that would turn themselves back for every departure. I became adept at disabling them when Blake would start the car.
The GPS directions only led us slightly astray, and we landed at our Air BnB without too much issue.
The Black Icelandic House
Driving from Kerið to Selfoss, we passed a group of Icelandic Horses which were close to the side of the road. Fearless driver Blake made the u-turn to get us up close to them. They walked right over to us, but lost interest when it was clear that we didn't have anything to new for them to eat.
Lil lee spotted Skyr Land when looking for activities near to us. Skyr Land was ... interesting. The entrance fee did include a yogurt parfait in addition to entrance to the museum.
